We have designed and built complete lithium ion battery coating/drying/calendering systems for very high to very low viscosity solvent and water based anode/cathode slurries.

 

We use hydraulic pistons and small extruders to feed high viscosity slurries to positive displacement gear pumps and slot dies.

Lower viscosity slurries can be coated continuously using slot die or three roll reverse coating methods.    Both coating methods allow for re-insertion and second side coating.    
Inline drying, calendering, sintering, and slitting are available. 3 roll reverse coating can adjust anode/cathode length with a 3/4" clear area and align the clear areas during the second side coating.
